Into China Print 2025: Zhongjia Printing’s Road to Green Printing

On May 18, 2025, the 11th China Print International Printing Technology Exhibition was grandly opened in Beijing. As the largest international printing technology exhibition in Asia, this exhibition gathers more than 500 high-end equipment and printing companies from all over the world, focuses on displaying the cutting-edge achievements in the field of global printing technology, and attracts extensive attention from industry professionals at home and abroad.

Zhongjia Printing was honored to be invited to participate in this exhibition and the “Flexible Packaging Day Seminar” held at the same time, and on behalf of the company, to share our latest technology and experience in the field of flexible packaging with water-based inks.

Focus on Environmental Protection and Sustainability: New Direction for Flexible Packaging Industry

The seminar was jointly organized by the China Printing and Equipment Industry Association and the VOCs Control Committee, with the theme focusing on environmentally friendly printing, sustainable packaging technology, and the innovative application of water-based inks in flexible packaging. The conference is not only a technical exchange event, but also builds a platform for communication and cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises.

The day before the conference, i.e., May 17th, we had an in-depth meeting with the China Environmental Protection Association to clarify the theme direction of this presentation and fully communicate with the latest environmental policy requirements. We jointly recognized: water-based ink printing will become an important support point for the future green transformation of the flexible packaging industry.

On May 18th, I visited the main venue of China Print 2025 together with the association team and experienced the most cutting-edge international printing equipment and material technology. It is gratifying to see that more and more local Chinese enterprises are relying on the results of self-developed technologies to shine on the international stage. These products are no longer “imitators” in the traditional sense, but have been optimized locally on the basis of the original, and are better adapted to the Chinese manufacturing environment and market demand.

Entrepreneurs’ Salon: Dialogue on the Future of Ink and Digital Printing

In the afternoon, we participated in the Entrepreneurs’ Salon themed “Digital Printing and the Development of Water-Based Inks”, which discussed the potential and challenges of digital printing under the trend of environmental protection. Although digital printing can realize zero VOCs emission and precise production, there are still technical bottlenecks in the field of flexible packaging, and it is difficult to completely replace the traditional printing method in the short term.

Water-based ink printing technology has gradually matured, with low pollution, high quality, low odor and other significant advantages. As the most environmentally friendly printing technology, water-based ink printing can not only meet the strict safety standards of food, daily chemical, and other industries, but also protect the product appearance and printing stability.

In the salon, on behalf of Zhongjia Printing, I shared our R&D achievements, application cases, and quality control experience in environmental protection flexible packaging printing for more than ten years. At the same time, we also had a frank exchange of views on the shortcomings of water-based ink printing to promote the continuous development of the industry.
